The Hybrid Team at Western Washington University is a part of the Vehicle Research Institute that was founded in 1971 in order to develop new engine technologies and automotive concepts. 


Who? 
The team is open to any university student or faculty but it is primarily comprised of VRI undergraduates who have a passion for hybrids and alternative fuels. If you'd like to join just show up to ET155 Tuesday's at 5:00 PM. 
What?
We are currently working on three vehicles. An electric/ bio-diesel (Viking 23), a CNG vehicle running on Biomethane (Viking 32) and an all electric plug in vehicle the EV1.
